Process to Become an RCS Foster Parent
RCS Foster Parent Training
Standard foster parents are required to complete 20 hours of initial training to become certified.
Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC) foster parents, Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) foster parents, and Redwood Coast Regional Center (RCRC) Level 3 & 4 foster parents must complete 60 hours of initial training to become certified.
Once certified, all RCS foster parents must complete 20 hours of training each certification year. For more information on becoming a foster parent or foster parent training hours, please contact:
